eduroam is coming to CUNY

#

CUNY will soon offer free, secure internet access via eduroam. Once implemented, eduroam will allow students, faculty and staff to use their CUNY Login credentials to connect to the internet from an eduroam Wi-Fi hotspot anywhere in the world, including CUNY campuses and libraries. Visitors from other institutions participating in eduroam will be able to access the internet through CUNY eduroam Wi-Fi hotspots as well.

See eduroam is coming to CUNY... on the CUNY website for more information and the list of currently available eduroam hotspots at CUNY.

CUNYBuy Marketplace - coming soon!

# CUNY has been live with CUNYBuy since April 2022 with supplier onboarding process and contract authoring and repository. As the next part of our phased deployment strategy, the CUNYBuy team will be introducing an eMarketplace in November 2022. The eMarketplace will offer several new punchout opportunities to accommodate our University’s supply needs with access to Grainger/Edge, Proftech, CDWG, and several University-wide contracted vendors. The eMarketplace will continue to expand as CUNY onboards additional vendors.

The marketplace will be accessible through CUNYfirst to users with Creator and Requestor roles. The new functionality will replace the existing Edge/Grainger punch out.

What’s Next
The CUNYBuy Team will focus on executing system integration and user acceptance testing to ensure user experience is optimized for the November launch. Additionally, we’ll be offering training opportunities in the weeks leading up to the November launch.

For More Information: Visit the CUNYBuy Portal in SharePoint online for more information.

There are also many CUNY resources to keep you safe:

#DegreeWorks, CUNY’s degree audit and advisement tool was upgraded on October 15. Although the basic functions remain the same, DegreeWorks is now much simpler in design and more streamlined. The updated user interface provides:

  • Navigation and accessibility improvements
  • A visual card design supporting drag and drop operations between semesters
  • Automatic content scaling and arranging to fit the device display in use
